Sunday, November 27th – Worship with us at 11am on this First Sunday of Advent with the Hanging of the Greens Procession and a special children’s message at the lighting of the Advent Wreath.

Wednesday, November 30th – An Advent Devotional on the works of C.S. Lewis. Our Adult program following supper will focus on preparing our hearts for Advent, and everyone will take home their own Advent devotional booklet. Dr. Ruth McClelland-Nugent, a professor at Augusta University, will lead us in an introduction to C. S. Lewis.  Take the Advent Quiz!

Saturday, December 3rd, 9:00am-12pm – Help us decorate the Christmas Trees in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, and enjoy a light Christmas breakfast and Pictures with Santa. We’ll also have bingo, crafts, and card-writing for veterans and St. John Homebound members. Invite a friend to join you! Reservations appreciated but not required.

Sunday, December 4th – Worship with us on this Second Sunday of Advent.

Sunday, December 11th – Worship with us this Third Sunday of Advent at 11am as the Junior Choir leads us in music. Special Guest Preacher is the new North Georgia Conference Bishop, Rev. Sue Haupert-Johnson.

Wednesday, December 14th – The Annual Birthday Party for Jesus held in the choir room after dinner. The children’s choirs present the story of the nativity through story and our much-loved carols. We end with a giant birthday cake!

Sunday, December 18th – Worship with us on this Fourth Sunday of Advent.

Saturday, December 24th, 10:30pm Concerts With a Cause, 11:00 pm Lessons and Carols presented by the St. John Choirs and Guest Orchestra. Nursery available.

Sunday, December 25th – Worship with us on this Glorious Christmas morning at 11am. We’ll sing our favorite carols. Coffee, cider, hot chocolate, and cookies will be offered before the service. Come as you are and worship the Newborn King!

Monday, December 26th – Tuesday, December 27th – Church offices closed.


Nursery is available every Sunday and Wednesday, and even on Christmas Eve!
