St. John Church established Kindermusik of Augusta in 1995 to provide high-quality musical instruction for preschoolers, from birth – age 6.
This not-for-profit business is an outreach program of St. John UMC.
In our classes we introduce the child to a rich array of musical diversity. Opportunities abound for fine and gross motor skills, language development, emotional and social skills, cognitive development, and fundamentals of music.
The home materials are fine-quality cds, books and instruments to enhance the learning and fun at home. We believe that parents and caregivers are the child’s best teachers.
The curriculum is non-perfomance based. We seek to first develop musical children – not child musicians. However, our classes for older children can begin fundamentals of music education that will help ease them into formal instrument or vocal training by age 7.
Join us today! Storytelling, ringing, twirling, and singing await!
