Join us for worship Pentecost Sunday, May 31, 2020 with scripture reading, hymn singing, special musical guests, and a sermon by our Associate Pastor, Rev. Lindsey Solomon.

A note from Lindsey: On Pentecost Sunday, we remember the day the disciples received the Holy Spirit in a special way. The story in Acts 2 describes a powerful wind and tongues of fire as the Holy Spirit was poured out on people from all over the world who came to Jerusalem to celebrate a Jewish feast. This Pentecost, as you participate in St. John’s worship service from home, we invite you to do something a little different. Consider lighting a candle to remember the tongues of fire that rested on the disciples. Consider opening a window to feel the wind of the Holy Spirit. Or,  bring your device outdoors and bring some bubbles along with you to to remind yourself that the Spirit is always moving. We look forward to worshiping with you this Pentecost.
